Surval Summer Camp promises a unique, action-packed experience of language learning, exploration and discovery, exclusively for girls. An extensive range of activities includes water sports on the lake, adventures in the mountains and excursions around Switzerland and beyond!
Sporting activities
Our breath-taking location makes overlooking Lac Léman provides the perfect surroundings for a fun summer adventure. There’s something new for every girl to try and the wide range of water sports and land sports available means every day is full of excitement and exploration. The vast lake at Surval’s feet and the mountains above us provide the perfect playground for water sports of all kinds, including waterskiing, stand up paddle boarding (SUP), sailing, wakeboarding, kayaking, rafting and water canyoning. Meanwhile on dry land, girls enjoy horseback riding, dance, tennis, cycling, hiking, roller blading, aerobics and so much more!
Language learning
Learning a language at Summer Camp is fun, as we incorporate films, songs and role play as well as more formal methods. Classes are small (6 girls max) and girls enjoy being surrounded by the school community and the language and culture of Switzerland. Girls can choose French or English. Outside lessons the school our main language is English. For the those learning French there is always the opportunity to practice by speaking to instructors and local activities leaders and during visits in the local area. Confidence in using a new language is key and we encourage girls to use their chosen language when speaking with teachers and staff members during the day!
Savoire vivre
Surval remains true its roots as a famous Swiss finishing school and we offer a unique Savoire-Vaire (knowing how to live) programme as part of the summer camp timetable. Etiquette classes teach girls about the customs of different world cultures. In Cooking with our School Chef they learn culinary arts and the finer points of pastry making. Learning about colour analysis and make up they’ll gain the confidence to try new looks and explore what suits them. Surval Summer Camp celebrates international diversity and we are a real mix of cultures, customs, languages and tastes and we equip young women for life!
Trips and excursions
There is no better way to learn about the joys of Switzerland and its neighbouring countries than to visit them. Popular excursions for Summer Campers include theme, adventure and water parks, chateaux, city visits, a chocolate factory and famous panoramic viewpoints in the Swiss Alps. Our prime location in the Lac Léman area means girls get to discover and explore exciting destinations in Switzerland, France, Italy and Germany!
Home from home
Summer Camp girls benefit from the warm, safe and happy environment provided by our established international boarding school. Our experienced and committed staff ensure girls feel supported throughout their stay, day and night.
Each bedroom features an ensuite shower room, balcony with stunning views of the mountains and lake, and is typically shared by three or four girls. Form many Summer Campers this is their first adventure away from home. In no time, they are making new friends, trying new skills and experiencing new challenges; that is what Surval Summer Camp is all about!
